I am running for city council in ward 12 because I am concerned that Minneapolis is all for big business contractors, leaving the small businesses and citizens who care for our city with higher taxes and poorer services. Small business owners must be able to afford operating in our neighborhoods.
I also think that there has been no response to important issues that residents in Ward 12 need handled. Residents have real issues that deserve a response and some help. Instead they are too often ignored while city government raises their taxes with little to show in return….take, take, take…but no response.
Why should Minneapolis jeopardize our safety and protection by cutting police officers and firefighters when there are other programs that can be cut? The current council is for cutting programs that should not be cut and wasting our precious tax dollars on things we don’t need. I will change that, first by auditing the entire city budget and then by building better priorities for our residents.
