Constituent Services: The questions, concerns and needs of ward 12 residents are going unanswered. Rick will truly serve the people who got him elected.
Fiscal Accountability: Minneapolis has not had an audit in many years. Under our current economy we need to know where our money is going. We must have an audit now.
Basic Services: Rick will not cut basic services such as police and fire to balance the budget. There are other areas which are far less important that can be cut.
Roads and Bridges: These are basic public needs which need to be kept up. Saving money now by not repairing them will cost us more later.
Property Taxes: 8% per year is too much without clear answers as to where it is going. State cuts to Minneapolis, while not good for the City, are no where near 8% per year. Ward 12 has many fixed incomes that cannot afford this increase.
Parks: Rick supports an independent park board. He has been active in his park as a volunteer and has seen the important effects of parks on young people throughout Minneapolis.
