Minneapolis needs an Audit!
The City of Minneapolis has not had a complete audit for many years. We need one now.Openness and Transparency
Ward 7 and Minneapolis have seen too much business done behind doors. We do not have a credible or consistent development policy and our residents are shortchanged.
No to 8% per year property tax increases
Homeowners cannot afford these increases and neither can renters. State cuts are small in comparison to this increase and it is about time that Minneapolis lives within a similar budget that residents live with.
Police Issues
Michael is part of a reform group of candidates and he supports their policy of community police control.
Stable Neighborhoods
Small business and stable families are critical to our city neighborhoods. While much of the 7th ward is well off, we need to realize the critical need of stable neighborhoods throughout our ward and Minneapolis. What happens elsewhere in Minneapolis hurts us to

We need to refocus our efforts on basic core services and not get distracted by the pet projects of well connected council-members.
Ward 7 Architecture
Neighborhoods should retain their character. Lowry Hill is not right for towers. Loring and Elliot Park neighborhoods, however, have a long history of urban highrise living. Their population density is part of their wonderful character.
