Did you know?

The Washington Times reports that 95 percent of voters believe corporations spend money to buy influence in policy making and elections.

In 2010 the US house candidates form the two national parties raised $1,091,824,783 in special interest money for their campaigns.

Government ethics and corruption has consistently ranks just under the economy as an issue of importance.

The Independence Party and its endorsed candidates are supported by individual citizen contributions and do not take any money from PACS or special interest groups. We believe the influence of such groups has damaged our democratic process and diminished the voice of ordinary citizens in favor of the "monied" interests.

Help us to help you. Have your voice heard.  Lets elect candidates who are not bought and paid for. We can take our government back.  We can end the political partisan bickering.  Support an Independence Party candidate.  With so much at stake, can you afford not to?

The principles and platform of the Independence Party incorporate values important to voters in the Seventh.

  • government and political leadership that serves the highest long-term interests of our state
  • government policies that encourage and expect personal responsibility
  • government that is fiscally responsible: equitable in its collection of taxes, careful in its spending, and honest in its financial reporting
