Pursuant to the Constitution of Independence Party of Minnesota, a Regular Convention of the 4th CD – IPM is hereby called to meet:
When: Saturday, April 10, 2010 10:30 A.M.
Where: Hayden Heights Library

The 4th CD-IPM Convention shall be held for the purposes of:
1. Consideration of Endorsement of:
a. 4th Congressional District IPM Candidate
b. State Senate District IPM Candidates
c. State House District IPM Candidates
2. Election of 4th CD-IPM Officer vacancies
3. Consideration of Platform Resolutions
4. Other business that may properly come before the Convention.

A message from the Executive Committee for the 4th Congressional District
The 2010 election season is underway for the Independence Party! There is a lot of excitement and optimism for our candidates in the November 2, 2010 state elections.
New this year will be an August primary election replacing the usual September date. You will be hearing more about this in the news, but note that this year's primary for all three major parties will be on Tuesday, August 10.
Anyone who is interested in running for an office in this district as an Independence Party candidate should contact Vice Chair John McCallum (see contact info below). John will help you navigate the IP endorsement process for all races within the 4th CD.
There will be a 4th CD convention held in April. The date will be determined soon. All state and local delegates of record will be receiving an official mailed notice. So watch for this.
The State Endorsing Convention will be held on Sat. May 8 at
Normandale Community College in Bloomington. All state delegates of record will receive a mailed notice from the state party on or around April 6. When you get your "call" please review the agenda carefully and plan to attend this important convention.
Now is the time to get involved in the 4th District. Democracy belongs to those who show up!
