Independence Minnesota

Congressional District 3

Welcome!

This page is dedicated to all the independent-minded citizens of Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District, plus all the volunteers whose tireless efforts help to promote our party's values:
  • World-class health care for all Minnesotans at a competitive cost
  • Top quality education for students of all ages, including career retraining efforts
  • A clear and sustainable energy strategy that doesn't rely too heavily on foreign-derived resources
  • Reversing current trends in creating pollution and promoting environmental stewardship
  • A transportation policy and infrastructure that works for all Minnesotans, regardless of where they live, work and play
  • State planning and budgeting that avoids gimmicks, accounting shifts, and antagonistic battles between the various branches of government.
Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District is comprised of many communities in suburban Hennepin County plus the Coon Rapids area in southern Anoka County.

PAST CANDIDATES

David Dillon, 3rd Congressional District

David Dillion was our 2008 endorsed candidate in the 3rd Congressional District race to replace Jim Ramstad.  Unlike his competition, he truly embodied the ideals of Rep. Ramstad and continues to represent the Independence Party's goals.

Ron Erhardt, MN House District 41-A

In 2008 we proudly endorsed Representative Ron Erhardt on his re-election campaign for the people of Edina.  He represents the ideals of the party, willing to stand up for the right cause ... What is best for the people of Minnesota.  In 2010, Ron is again running for House District 41A.  Visit his campaign web site here.

"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution."
