Organizational Gains

As some of you may know, the Independence Party suffered a sharp decline in organizational structure between the winter of 2002 and the summer of 2009. While some Congressional District (CD) organizations continued to do well, others became mere hollow shells, and still others ceased to exist in any real manner what-so-ever. During the same period active State House and State Senate District organizations approached extinction.

This dire decline in the Party's fortunes leveled out near the end of the summer of 2009. Since then, with the efforts of local members and State Party organization personnel, we have rebuilt, CD by CD, a truly state-wide organization. All eight CD's once again are fully functioning and growing entities.

Soon, perhaps even within the next few weeks, the first new State House and State Senate District organizations in many years will be created. Finally, growth from the grassroots level up will begin. Its been a long journey. Thank you to all who held the faith.
