Not an official IP event but we need to keep a focus on rural issues and what others are pushing for. Let's be part of the discussions.
Join Midwest Rural Assembly and you will:
• Share resources and strategies for rural economic and community development opportunities
• Hear from and talk with local to national policymakers about your rural policy priorities
• Meet other rural leaders and welcome new voices
• Begin building a regional network to advance policies and initiatives that can help revitalize rural communities
The following event is sponsored by MEP (Minnesota Environmental Partnership) member group Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy.

Politics before Movie in the Park
Loring Park (note- volunteer work only lasts until 7PM, when concerts and movie start at 8:30PM)
Hand out candidate postcards before you watch the movie "The Hustler" in Loring Park (yeah...we know...let's keep the hustling on the screen and not in City Hall). Ward 7 candidate Mike Katch and Mayoral candidate Papa John Kolstad will be meeting and greeting movie goers as they arrive to concerts and a movie in the park
Location: 270 West 15th Street in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis. MAP LINK NOTE: This is a an address of Loring Park....we will meet in front of the beige neighborhood center at the center of the park at 6:30 PM
What to bring: If you are staying for the concerts and movie, bring a blanket to sit on.
